“You don’t only buy a home, you buy a neighbourhood”
A recent National Association of Realtors (NAR) survey reveals the top things that buyers want in a neighbourhood. As Londoners, we are lucky to have so many fantastic neighbourhoods to choose from when purchasing a home. Not only is London Ontario one of the only major cities in this country that offers affordable home ownership but we have many fantastic neighbourhoods to choose from. The average home in Canada sells for $420,473 where the average London home sells for $255,786. (March 2015 Statistic, LSTAR)
Last year London’s own Old East Village was named one of Canada’s great places to live. In 2013, London’s Old South/Wortley Village was voted one of the best places in Canada. Regardless of area, London’s neighbourhoods each have something unique to offer to it’s community.
When it comes to the “wish list” of what home buyers want in a neighbourhood, here’s the results of the NAR survey.
